Diesel prices also rose by Rs 3.11, taking the retail rate to Rs 93.14 per litre

The revised petrol and diesel rates came into effect from May 15

Mumbai continues to record some of the highest fuel prices among major metro cities in India due to local taxes and transportation costs

At several fuel stations across the city, including Chagan Mitha Petrol Pump, motorists were seen checking updated fuel prices following the hike

The rise in petrol and diesel prices is expected to affect transportation costs and household expenses, particularly in Mumbai where lakhs of commuters rely on private vehicles, taxis and goods transport services every day
