The police have also urged spectators to promptly report any suspicious items to the nearest security personnel

The World Cup 2023 matches are scheduled to take place at Wankhede Stadium on October 21, 24, November 2, 7, and 15

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is set to unveil a life-size statue of Sachin Tendulkar within the Wankhede Stadium premises on November 1.

During a discussion on Thursday, MCA President Amol Kale disclosed that the statue, to be positioned near the Sachin Tendulkar stand, will be officially revealed on the eve of India's World Cup match against Sri Lanka on November 2
