IMD's weather alert mentioned, "Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolate places in Mumbai, Thane and Palghar was likely on June 30." The weather bureau has advised citizens to exercise caution

Between 8 am and 7 pm, the city recorded 41.03 mm of rainfall, while the eastern and western suburbs received 53.27 mm and 54.06 mm, respectively

Several areas witnessed intense spells of rain between 6 pm and 7 pm. In the island city, the highest rainfall was recorded at Pratiksha Nagar Municipal School, Sion (26 mm), followed by B Nadkarni Park Municipal School (21 mm) and SWD Workshop, Dadar, along with the G-South and F-South ward offices (17 mm each)

In the eastern suburbs, the Mankhurd Fire Station area recorded 29 mm, followed by the M-E Ward Office (27 mm), Mulund Fire Station (25 mm), M-W and T Ward offices (24 mm each), and Gawanpada Fire Station and Collectors Colony (23 mm each)

IMD has forecast cloudy skies with the possibility of intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over the next 24 hours

Authorities have advised citizens to avoid low-lying and waterlogged areas, remain indoors during intense spells of rain wherever possible, and follow official weather advisories

Mumbai Police, the BMC, and the Mumbai Fire Brigade remain on alert to respond to rain-related emergencies.
