Residents have complained of severe dust, noise, and traffic chaos as the bridge is being torn down
Locals say that persistent dust and constant hammering have made daily life unbearable, with children and the elderly particularly affected by respiratory issues and allergies
They also said that there is a great deal of uncertainty over the promised rehabilitation plans
Earlier, mid-day.com had reported that MHADA has begun searching for rehabilitation options within a 5-km radius for 83 families currently living in Haaji Noorani and Lakshmi Nivas — the two most severely affected structures in the area
However, despite the move, residents say they have received no official communication from MHADA regarding their relocation or timeline
