‘Say no to addiction’: In striking avatars, transgender activists stage colourful awareness drive in Mumbai

Members of Kinnar Ma Trust, in association with the Maharashtra State Nashabandi Mandal (Anti-Liquor/Prohibition Board), staged a peaceful anti-addiction awareness drive outside the BEST depot near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai on Friday. Dressed in distinctive avatars, including Bharat Mata, a doctor, an engineer, an advocate and a tribal character, the participants campaigned against alcohol and tobacco use and raised awareness about addiction and de-addiction.
