People in the city were seen shielding themselves from sunny weather

On Thursday, the IMD, in its Mumbai weather updates predicted that Mumbai was expected to experience a partly cloudy sky along with moderate rain across the city and suburbs

The IMD's Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday

The IMD issued a green alert for Mumbai on Thursday

A yellow alert was issued for Mumbai for Friday, September 26 by IMD, predicting "Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, heavy rainfall and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places
