IN PHOTOS: Mumbai's busy Parel TT bridge revamp underway

The flyover, located along Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, connects key areas such as Parel, Dadar and nearby localities

The bridge is one of the important for easing traffic flow in parts of central Mumbai

With work underway, the police have set up barricades and a parallel road has been kept open for motorists

Traffic restrictions are being implemented in stages to manage congestion

The work includes full concretisation and structural reinforcement to improve safety and durability

The project focuses on strengthening and repairing the existing structure

The Parel TT Bridge is also a vital connector between major residential and commercial zones in parts of central Mumbai

Officials had earlier said that the upgrade is necessary to ensure long-term safety and smoother traffic movement
