According to Dr Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, the situation was quickly pacified, and train operations resumed at 6.45 pm from CSMT
Heavy rush of commuters were witnessed at Thane and CSMT stations among others on the Central Railway lines
Some of the closed-door AC local trains were also seen operating with open-doors on late Thursday evening due to heavy passengers rush
The railway employees union did not allegedly allow motormen and train managers to operate trains during the evening rush hours, sources said
