The weather department had on Tuesday morning predicted that the city was expected to witness a partly cloudy sky, with a possibility of light to moderate rainfall across Mumbai and its suburban areas

During the 24-hour period from 8 am on June 2 to 8 am on June 3, Mumbai recorded 6.51 mm of rainfall in the city area, 2.96 mm in the eastern suburbs, and 3.64 mm in the western suburbs
Meanwhile, the IMD's Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday
The Colaba observatory reported a high of 32.2 degrees Celsius and a low of 26.2 degrees Celsius, as per the weather department
