Heavy rainfall in several parts of the city caused distress for commuters, many were seen braving the rains on their daily routes.
Gusty winds and intense showers in South Mumbai prompted residents to wear raincoats and take extra precautions.
Amid the Mumbai rains people were seen enjoying the evening landscape during the showers at Marine Drive.
As per BMC data, Mumbai city recorded 21 mm of rainfall in 24 hours, while eastern and western suburbs received 33 mm and 26 mm respectively.
With the IMD forecasting an intensifying monsoon ahead, Mumbaikars are preparing for several more days of heavy showers.
