According to officials, the victim, identified as Monu Solanki, had entered the quarry for a swim when he drowned after losing his bearings in the deep water

Following the alert, personnel from the Diva Police Chowky, the Fire Brigade and the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) team rushed to the spot

Rescue teams arrived with one rescue vehicle and one fire engine to conduct a search operation

Rescue workers carried out a search operation for nearly an hour on Monday night. However, the operation was temporarily suspended after dark with permission from the police, as visibility conditions made the search difficult

During the renewed search operation on June 9, rescue teams located and recovered Solanki's body from the quarry. The body was brought out of the water and handed over to the Daighar Police for further legal procedures
