Born Simone Naval Dunoyer in Geneva, Switzerland, she first visited India as a tourist in 1953
She married Naval H. Tata in 1955 and began her professional journey with the Tata Group in the early 1960s
The Tata Group honoured her legacy, noting her role in building Lakmé, founding the Westside retail chain, and guiding key philanthropic initiatives like the Sir Ratan Tata Institute. The statement added that her positivity and resilience touched many lives and wished her eternal peace
