Thane Municipal Corporation's fire department carried out a swift operation, saving a 30-year-old man from drowning

An alert about a person drowning was received at around 11:38 am. The incident occurred near Kalwa New Bridge, opposite Saket Police Chowky on Saket Road in Thane (West)

The man (on the left), identified as Naushad Mehroom (30), had reportedly entered the creek but began to drown after misjudging the water depth. Officials at the scene observed that the individual did not appear to be in a sound mental state

The Disaster Management Cell deployed a pickup vehicle, while the Fire Brigade sent a rescue vehicle and a jeep to the spot

Following the operation, Naushad Mehroom was subsequently handed over to the Thane Nagar Police for further formalities
