According to the Thane Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Cell, the driver reportedly lost control of the truck and rammed into the bridge median. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The accident took place around 5:00 am when the truck was travelling from Pune to Dahanu. The civic disaster management team received information about the crash at 9:10 am.

The impact of the crash left the TATA truck partially suspended over the bridge near Titan Hospital, opposite Oscar Hospital, in Kasarvadavali, Thane West.

Officials said the truck, bearing registration number MH 12 FC 6177, is owned by Amol Kamathe and was being driven by Tushar Kamathe at the time of the accident.

Teams from the Disaster Management Cell and Traffic Police reached the spot with cranes, a JCB excavator and other equipment to carry out the removal operation.

Authorities secured the area and launched efforts to safely remove the damaged truck while preventing risks to motorists and pedestrians.

Traffic movement on Ghodbunder Road was likely to be affected as recovery operations continued on Kasarvadavali Bridge.
