According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8:30 am, Mumbai recorded no rainfall on Saturday at either the Colaba or Santacruz observatories. Despite moderately high humidity levels, the dry spell persisted across the city, and no showers were reported
The IMD has predicted that both Saturday and Sunday will witness partly cloudy skies over Mumbai and its suburbs. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively
These temperatures are slightly above normal for this time of year, adding to the discomfort for residents
The October heat, typical of Mumbai's weather pattern following the monsoon withdrawal, often sees a rise in day temperatures and relatively high humidity levels
While monsoon clouds have faded, the sun has returned with intensity, making outdoor activities challenging, especially during the afternoon hours
