The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Disaster Management Department, also known as the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC), serves as Mumbai's central command centre for managing emergencies, particularly during the monsoon season. The control room also functions as a coordination hub, facilitating seamless communication with the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, Traffic Police, the Indian Navy, the Indian Coast Guard, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and railway authorities to ensure swift emergency response
