Ramadan at Minara Masjid is a marvel worth witnessing. Located in the heart of South Mumbai, the renowned mosque attracts the faithful to break their fast and offer Maghrib (namaz) in communion. We spoke to Mumbaikar Vishesh Kanani who takes us through the sacred rituals of Ramadan evenings orchestrated by Muslims at Minara Masjid

Most of the food items for Iftar are prepared in-house at Minara Masjid. Volunteers at the mosque are sent off to source essential ingredients which are then cooked inside the mosque. Post the sacred rituals of praying and Iftar, people come out on Mohammad Ali Road to relish the lively aura that comes with Ramadan.
