The Maharashtrian festival Gudi Padwa, also known as Samvastar Padyo, is an auspicious occasion celebrated on the first day of Chaitra month of the Hindu calendar. This year it is being celebrated on April 2, Saturday. Mumbaikars were also out on the street for the Gudi Padwa Shobha rally at Parel and various other spots. Young boys and girls were seen performing Traditional Dhol Pathak at Girgaon Circle in South mumbai.
