9-year-old Ayesha pens an appeal to Shiv Sena supremo to release MNIK
Nine-year-old Ayesha Indori, a die- hard Shah Rukh Khan fan, has written to Bal Thackeray, asking him to withdraw his opposition SRK's least release MNIK.
The appeal
"Dear Balasaheb. You are like my grandfather. I am also your great fan. Please don't stop the release of my Shahrukh Appa's film," says Ayesha in her letter. So devoted is Ayesha to SRK that she gave up eating last year when she learnt that Shah Rukh Khan had trouble with his shoulder last year. Finally, unable to shake her out of her SRK obsession, her father Hussain took his sick daughter to Mannat, SRK's residence in Mumbai. The actor met his young fan and persuaded her to start eating and concentrate on her studies.u00a0

Ayesha's father, a metal scrap dealer said, "My daughter is disturbed that Shiv Sena is stalling his film. In response, she has written a letter to Balasaheb." Ayesha, who is with her grandmother in Rajasthan, said, "I am very disturbed by whatu00a0 Balaseheb is doing to Shah Rukh appa. I have requested him not to trouble my hero. Since I am old enough to be his granddaughter, I think he will heed my appeal and stop troubling SRK. I have never missed an SRK film and I am looking forward to MNIK as well."
Ayesha has lost one academic year due to her obsession. Her father Hussain said, "My daughter falls ill due to her obsession. We hope she resumes school this year."
