'NIA to probe only 'gravest' cases'

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), set up in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, will probe only "gravest" incidents of terror crimes and a team of officers is already in place to handle any such cases.

"As I speak, orders have been issued for appointment of one DIG, two superintendents of police, two deputy superintendents of police and two inspectors," Home Minister P Chidambaram said.
