Mumbai: MMRDA postpones Metro trial run to next month

After missing a series of deadlines, the VAG metro corridor will miss another one as the MMRDA has postponed its trial run to next month

The metro trail run on a small stretch along the 11-km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) has been pushed ahead to May as per the new schedule. The stretch covered during the trial run will be 2-3 km long between Versova metro station and Azad Nagar station instead of the earlier 8 km-stretch.


New metro railway station being readied at Western Express Highway near Jogeshwari Flyover Bridge in Andheri. To add to a series of delays, the MMRDA has postponed the trial run on the VAG corridor to May on a 2-3 km stretch between Versova metro station and Azad Nagar station
