<p>An IAS officer in Chhattisgarh faced Twitter's ire after his photograph went viral showing him standing and talking to a sick child's mother with his left foot on the steel rail of a hospital bed.</p>

<p>The act has been deemed as 'arrogance' of the young officer.</p>
<p>The man in question is Dr Jagdish Sonkar, the 2013-batch IAS officer who is a sub-divisional magistrate of Ramanujganj in Balrampur district.</p>
<p>As he also has a medical degree, he had visited a government hospital for a routine inspection and interacted with mothers of malnourished children being treated there.</p>
<p>Twitter did not take kindly to what they considered this as an 'insolent' act. This is what they tweeted.</p>
