In a swift response to an urgent request from civic authorities following the tragic aircraft crash at Baramati airport, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has deployed a dedicated team of 'air warriors' to assist in emergency operations at the site.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Ajit Pawar, along with four others, lost their lives in the Baramati crash.

In a post on social media platform X, IAF said that its team is providing essential basic air traffic control (ATC) and meteorological services to ensure the safety and coordination of air operations in and around the affected area.

“In response to civic authorities' urgent request after the tragic aircraft crash at Baramati Airport, the Indian Air Force has swiftly deployed a dedicated team of Air Warriors,” the post read.

IAF further stated that these critical services are supporting emergency response efforts, facilitating the movement of aircraft, and enabling smooth coordination between civil and security agencies involved in rescue, relief, and investigation.

Hailing their contribution following Wednesday's tragedy, IAF added, “This rapid assistance underscores IAF's commitment to national service in times of need.”
