A three-member Goa Police team returned to Goa yesterday without establishing contact with Tehelka founder and editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal, who is accused of sexually assaulting a junior colleague in a five-star hotel here earlier this month, an official said. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/nov/tarun-tejpal_2.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 640px;" /> &ldquo;We have not established contact with Tarun Tejpal yet,&rdquo; Deputy Inspector General of Police OP Mishra said. Mishra said the police team met and examined Tehelka managing editor Shoma Chaudhury and other Tehelka employees. &ldquo;They have also taken relevant documents in possession and some electronic items,&rdquo; he said. Tehelka employees -- Shougat Dasgupta, G Vishnu and Ishan Tankha -- were also questioned for around four hours yesterday at Goa Sadan. According to sources, police have collected some CDs and a few hard discs from Tehelka office. Cops also scrutinised Chaudhury&rsquo;s laptop and iPad. Chaudhury said that she fully cooperated with the team of Goa police. &ldquo;The Goa police took my deposition for nine hours, and during which I fully cooperated with them,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;All the relevant documents and e-mails I had shared with my colleagues, I shared with the police. I can&rsquo;t comment how satisfied they were but it was a courteous experience for me. I hope it brings clarity, truth and justice to the case,&rdquo; she added. Asked about the three colleagues, who too were quizzed, she said: &ldquo;The only thing I would say to everybody involved is that they should speak the truth fearlessly and I really hope some justice and truth comes into this case finally.&rdquo; Warning to media Meanwhile, Mishra also warned those media persons naming the victim and putting out indicative as well as salacious details of the case in the public domain could be prosecuted. Mishra asked the media to sensitively report on the contents of the e-mails between Tejpal, Shoma and the victim, which are in the public domain. He also cautioned social media users against indulging in &lsquo;actions which have criminal implications&rsquo; while speaking of or commenting or uploading information vis a vis the case. Will robert De Niro be questioned? Being put up in a VIP suite close to the elevator where Tarun Tejpal sexually assaulted a junior colleague appears to have put the media spotlight on Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, for no fault of his. Asked if the police would question the actor because of his physical proximity to the scene of crime, Goa&rsquo;s Deputy Inspector General of Police OP Mishra said: &ldquo;This is an investigation and many things are likely to emerge. Whosoever&rsquo;s testimony is required for investigation will be taken.&rdquo; De Niro&rsquo;s name is mentioned twice in the FIR after a complaint was made by the woman journalist to Shoma Chaudhury. The complaint says Tarun Tejpal used meeting Robert De Niro as an excuse for luring the young woman into the lift and sexually assaulting her.

Even as authorities questioned Tehelka's managing editor Shoma Chaudhury and three others, they are yet to question the founder of the magazine
