In another case, a 37-year-old woman has alleged she was repeatedly raped by the owner of a furniture showroom in Vasant Kunj in south Delhi. According to the complaint lodged by the victim, businessman Ramesh Verma laced her snacks with sedatives during an interview and then raped her inside his cabin.

According to the victim, who is a resident of Pitampura, she had visited the businessman's office in the Rangpuri area of Vasant Kunj with her husband.u00a0u00a0u00a0

"The victim has alleged she was inside the businessman's cabin when he offered her biscuits. After eating the biscuits she became unconscious. She said she was giddy while the accused raped her. We are looking into the allegations and have sent the victim for a medical examination," said a police official.
