On 11 February 2009, ISNA news agency quoted Tehran's deputy public prosecutor Hassan Hadda saying that the seven Baha'is are accused of "espionage for Israel." "The accusations are false, and the government knows this," said Diane Ala'i, the Baha'i International Community representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
