A major demolition drive by BDA recovered property worth Rs 25 crore today. BDA officials demolished 23 illegal constructions spread over 4.5 acres at BTM Layout, 6th stage near Hulimavo.

The demolished structures included a private school. The demolitions were started from early morning today.

While the residents in the area accused the BDA of evacuating them without any notice, BDA denied it saying all legal formalities were adhered to before the drive.
