Police Saturday recovered the bodies of five policemen of elite Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (Cobra) in jungles where rebels and police battled throughout Friday.

With this, the death toll among securitymen in one of the biggest offensive in the Maoist bastion has gone up to six. Cobra assistant commandant Manoranjan Singh was killed Friday. Bodies of 10 ultras have also been found.
