Krishnagar: A BSF jawan posted in Assam killed himself in the wee hours today after hearing the news of his wife's suicide, following a quarrel between them on phone, the police said.

Amit Barui (24), the BSF jawan, killed himself with his service revolver in Assam after learning from his in-laws that his wife Tuhina (19) committed suicide by taking poison at Hanskhali in Nadia district of West Bengal.
