City cops arrested Anil Kumar (32) for stealing his ex-employer's bus and selling it off at a throwaway price in Kerala. Kumar worked as a driver with SRS Transport Company for more than three years.
However, he and his friend Girish, who worked as cleaner in the same firm, were fired last year for cheating the company.
Goaded on by the humiliation, they stole one of the company's buses from Basavanagudi.

Afraid of being caught, they took the bus to Kasargodu in Kerala and started their own transport business. They used to run the bus between Udupi and Kasargodu.
