The police, yesterday, arrested two brothers who owned the bungalow at Sus Road which housed 30 women brought to city for flesh trade. According to local residents, Santosh and Sachin Chandere who were arrested tried to mislead the police claiming they had sold the property to a Ajit Nandalal Ghosh, who allegedly brought the women to the city and forced them into prostitution.
"The duo initially tried to mislead us on the ownership of the bungalow and said that they had sold it to Ghosh. But our enquiries have revealed that the papers submitted to us were fake," said Police Inspector Ganpat Madgulkar of the Hinjewadi police station. Madgulkar said the Chandere brothers were arrested under various sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PETA).
