A fact-finding committee constituted to assess the re-evaluation process of engineering exams of UoP held in April 2012 has revealed that students' arguments about unchecked answer sheets were partially true
The team has unearthed as many as 28 cases where rechecking has not been done adequately. V-C Dr W N Gade declared that strict action would be initiated against those responsible for the goof-ups.
A couple of months ago, UoP had formed the three-member panel, under the chairmanship of principal Arun Adsul, in the backdrop of increasing complaints from engineering students and their parents about not being satisfied with the re-evaluated results. After the outcome of engineering exams held in April 2012 was announced, about 70 thousand students from the engineering courses have applied for re-evaluation. Out of this 5,278 students applied for photocopy of answer sheets too. After receiving the duplicates, as many as 171 students found that the re-evaluation had not been done properly, as some of their questions had still remained unchecked.
