Delhi police to refurbish CCTV system at Dwarka Courts Complex

In the wake of the Delhi High Court blast, Delhi Police have now decided to install more close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the premises of all courts. In this regard, the Dwaka court complex will get 48 cameras.
Addressing the media, Bar Association president (Dwarka court), Kuldeep Singh Sehrawat said these cameras will helping recording the footage of open area surrounding the complex.

"The Dwarka court complex already has CCTV cameras and headquarter has also been formed in this regard. Now, however, police want to tighten the security and install 48 more cameras to cover the open areas. We recently had a meeting with the top police officials, in which this decision was taken," said Sehrawat.u00a0

Meanwhile, advocates of Patiala House court have also demanded strengthening of security. The lawyers wants Delhi Police to install more cameras.u00a0 Rajesh Kumar, an advocate said Patiala House court complex should be one of the high-security zone, as it is close to India Gate.

"No action has been taken by police to secure Patiala House court till now. This historical court is close to India Gate. At least, 40 more CCTV cameras should be installed here for the security purpose," said Kumar.
