Delhi court takes cognizance of charge sheet filed against Olympic wrestler Sushil Kumar in murder case

A Delhi court has taken cognizance of the charge sheet filed against Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar and 12 others in the Sagar Dhankar murder case.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Satvir Singh Lamba took cognizance and posted the matter to August 20 for the supply of copies of the final report to all the accused. Kumar and others had allegedly assaulted Dhankar and his friend at the stadium on the intervening night of May 4 and 5 over an alleged property dispute. Sagar succumbed to the injuries later.
