This may go down the history of gaming as the most controversial video game ever.

The much-awaited Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which goes on sale from today, has not only ruffled feathers abroad; it may be boycotted by Delhi gamers as well. Most gaming enthusiasts in the city feel the game is irresponsible, 'as it promotes terrorism'.

Keith Vaz, the chairman of the home affairs select committee, urged the British government to ensure such games were not played by children. But Tom Watson, the former digital engagement minister, said it would be better for MPs to support the UK's video gaming industry.
