Astronomers say that they have found an amino acid, one of the building blocks of life, on a <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews/idUSTRE57H02I20090818">comet</a>. The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amino_acid">amino acid</a> in question is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycine">Glycine</a>, the smallest of the 20 amino acids commonly found in proteins.
