Two persons, including a software professional was arrested for beating up his wife and harassing her for dowry today. Police said Sunil Kumar (41) and his mother Kavita were arrested following a complaint by Sunita that she had been harassed and assaulted.<br /><br />The duo had met over internet and married. Their marriage had been opposed by the mother who began demanding dowry and assaulting Sunita. The woman was treated for injuries, police said. Police were verifying Sunil's background. He claimed to be a green card holder who had lost his job due to recession.<br />
