Education board gets a new chairman

The position vacated by Ravindra Chaudhari, former chairman of Pune Municipal Corporation’s education board has been filled.
It has been given to Pradeep Dhumal, after Chaudhari’s name surfaced in an alleged flowerpot procurement scam.
This will be Dhumal’s second term as the board’s chairman. He represents the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
PMC education officer Shivaji Daundkar confirmed Dhumal’s appointment.
