As she runs her fingers over one of her favourite creations, a chain with an assortment of religious symbols, she says, "What I love about India is that myriad groups coexist peacefully." Demonstrating the multifunctional aspect of her designs (Rs 2000 to Rs 26,000), she glides a bulky chain with semi-precious stones over her hip, and then, removing it tried winding it around her neck, effortlessly transforming the belt into a choker. "Use it like a long necklace or bind it around your wrist like a bracelet," she suggests, drawing your attention to the mini keychain-type hook on each pendant which makes it easy to detach. "If you don't like the policy of a political party, you can remove their symbol in protest," Martinaa jests, showing us a necklace that carries a Congress party hand, the JKNPP's bicycle, the CPI (M) hammer and sickle. "I design my pieces in 3D on the computer, and often, I craft them personally too." <br /><br />

Perhaps subconsciously, the spirit of change seems to have seeped into the very heart of the exhibition with almost every stall offering a customisation service. <br /><br />

We loved her gorgeous Chinese-take-away-box-shaped trinket holders (Rs 75 each). Dipti and Khyati Munim undertake furniture-customisation, though Khyati's also excited about their display of unique batik-polished wooden furniture. <br /><br />The balloon bouquets and gift-packaging by Anupama Kasera, Swati Lath and Rashmi Gupta are up next. "For a casino party, we could arrange slot-machine balloons and Ace and King balloons," Anupama shares (bouquets: Rs 350, plus delivery).
