Colour-coding to separate people according to kind of ticket; biometric system for entry, exit at venue
With almost 30,000 people expected to attend the first leg of Bryan Adam's concert in the city, the organisers are leaving no stone unturned to provide foolproof security. With biometric cards and additional security, this concert will ensure gatecrashers are kept outside the gates.
"The biometric tickets will have to be used for entry and exit. No visitor will be allowed or can leave without the electronic reader cards which we have sourced from Singapore. The doors will not open without the card which means that people without passes will not get a chance to go inside. Even though security will be stationed at each point, this is more hassle-free and convenient for the crowd," said Deshpande.
He said a person would be assigned a colour as per his ticket so that it is easy to identify the crowd according to the tickets bought.
About 700 security guards from Amanora will be stationed at various points of the venue which includes 150 ex-army personnel.
Security guards will be stationed even backstage though Bryan Adams will be accompanied by his personal guards.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone IV, Sanjay Jadhav, said the cops were prepared to deal with the large number of crowd.
"As far as internal security is concerned we haven't received any requests from the organisers, as I believe they have hired personal officials. But outside the venue we are prepared to handle the traffic and crowd.
However, we haven't decided on the number of officials to be stationed on that day," said Jadhav.u00a0u00a0
About 9,000 tickets have been booked so far and the organisers said that they were expecting to sell more in the last four days before the concert.
