With the launch of INS Arihant, India joins a select set of countries that have a nuclear submarine. Very few countries have their own indigenously-built <a href="http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/world/04-india-launches-first-nuclear-powered-submarine-qs-14">nuclear-powered</a> submarines. China, France, US, Britain and Russia are some of the few who do.
