IPL spot fixing: Chennai hotelier seeks more time to appear before police

Hotelier Vikram Aggarwal, summoned by Tamil Nadu Crime Branch in connection with the IPL betting case, today failed to appear before it and sought more time to do so.

Police said Aggarwal's wife accompanied by an advocate appeared before the CB-CID office in Guindy and sought some more time for her husband to comply with the summons.u00a0
CB-CID had last month summoned Aggarwal after one of the bookies, Kitty alias Uttam Jain, informed the police that he was operating from a hotel owned by Aggarwal.
