The GUIDE caught up with Swiss DJ Yves Larock who is beckoning Punekaris to rise up and head straight towards the rainbow

Party lovers are in for a treat as DJ Yves Larock is coming to set the dance floor on fire. Hard Rock Cafe will see the man who composed the smash hit single - Rise Up, which has become an anthem for partygoers. The Swiss DJ and producer Yves Larock Cheminade is coming to India for the first time on a three-city tour. The ever-popular DJ has recently performed gigs in Europe, Brazil, Dubai, Morocco, Algeria, Scandinavia and in Mumbai.

He promises to play his all-time hits which include musical numbers like Zookey, By Your Side, and the latest one Without Love. The DJ loves Rock, Indipop and House numbers to set his party meter ticking. "I am looking forward to having a great time with the crowd, because music connects us all," he says. He adds that in spite of playing across the world, his most memorable performance was at Brazil playing at a carnival. "There were so many people over there and they were having such a wild time," he reminisces.

In spite of his popularity, Larock still manages to remain grounded and stays connected to his friends. After composing music, he invites his musician friends and makes them listen to his tunes and share their opinion with him. Next up for Larock is to work on movies, which is still at a planning stage.

Larock is all praises for India, especially the people and the food, but is not so keen on the heat. "From the moment I landed, I could feel the heat and because I come from a cold country, I found it unbearable," he laughs. But for now the DJ is ready to focus on his music and try to tuck in the myriad flavours that Pune has to offer.
