Lakhimpur Kheri violence case: Plea in SC seeking to cancel bail plea of accused Ashish Mishra

The plea argued that the reasoning of the high court suffers from the vices of non-application of judicial mind, and it took recourse to assumptions without the support of direct evidence

A plea has been moved in the Supreme Court challenging the bail granted to accused Ashish Misra, son of Union Minister and BJP MP Ajay Kumar Misra, in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.

The plea has been filed by advocates CS Panda and Shiv Kumar Tripathi, who moved the top court last year seeking an independent probe into the matter.
