Lokayukta police miss the deadline to submit a report before the court on disproportionate assets case against JD(S) supremo's eldest son H D Balakrishne Gowda; judge quips cops given enough documents to substantiate complaint

The Lokayukta special court yesterday lambasted the Lokayukta police for going slow on investigations into the disproportionate assets case against H D Balakrishne Gowda, the eldest son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.

The police was supposed to submit a report before the court yesterday, but they turned up empty-handed.

The petitioner has alleged that the assets of Balakrishne Gowda, the eldest son of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and sibling of H D Kumaraswamy, was worth Rs 10 crore in 2005, but within six years he reportedly amassed property worth over Rs 500 crore. File pics
