A woman was killed, and at least six others were reportedly injured in a stampede at the Navgrah temple in Dabra town of Gwalior district, Madhya Pradesh, officials said on Monday, reported PTI.

Gwalior PRO’s official X handle mentioned that the incident occurred during a gathering at the temple. The massive gathering at the religious site triggered panic among devotees that led to a stampede-like situation.

An official post shared by the Gwalior Public Relations Office (PRO) confirmed that one woman has reportedly lost her life during the incident.

Meanwhile, another injured woman has been admitted to J.A. Hospital (JAH) in Gwalior for further treatment, while other injured people were taken to nearby medical facilities in Gwalior.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Gwalior District Magistrate Ruchika Chauhan visited Apple Hospital and J.A. Hospital to further assess the condition of the injured.

She further instructed the doctors at the hospital to ensure proper medical arrangements and timely treatment for all the victims who sustained injuries in the stampede. Furthermore, Gwalior Additional Collector C.B. Prasad also reached the incident site and assessed the situation.
