A 12-year-old girl died of a heat stroke on Tuesday in drought-hit area of Maharashtra’s Beed district.

According to reports, Yogita Desai, a class 5 student, went to fill water from a hand pump that is 500 metres away from her house. After Yogita made four trips to fill up water, she was dehydrated, and collapsed as she returned for the fifth trip. The doctor who treated her said that she died of a heart attack and dehydration.
