No corporator wants to donate books to libraries

The proposal of donating books to civic-run school libraries from corporators' fund was rejected in the PMC's General Body meeting

It seems that city’s elected corporators find reading of no use, and hence they rejected the proposal of donating books to school libraries from their yearly fund in the General Body (GB) meeting recently. The proposal, which was approved in the Standing Committee meeting, had to get a final consent in GB from at least one corporator. However, no councillor was ready to take out money from their funds to inculcate the habit of reading among students.
