File Pic The Bhoiwada police on Wednesday detained around 10 Bharatiya Janata Party workers for rallying and sloganeering in front of the restaurant against the Congress. The cops have taken in writing a bond from them. &ldquo;The BJP workers were praising the restaurant owner Srinivas Shetty for his work and were criticising Congress for its act of closing the diner,&rdquo; said an officer from Bhoiwada police station. &ldquo;We have taken in writing a bond from the Congress workers as well as the BJP workers under Section 135 (taking out a procession without permission) of the Bombay Police Act.&rdquo; u00a0The police have also been criticised for dragging their feet in registering a case against the Youth Congress workers. &ldquo;We have felicitated Srinivas Shetty, owner of Aditi, for coming out against the UPA government openly. Our workers also raised slogans against Congressmen for shutting down the eatery in a democracy,&rdquo; said BJP MLC Ashish Shelar, chief of party&rsquo;s Mumbai unit. Cartoonist&rsquo;s criticism Meanwhile, controversial cartoonist Aseem Trivedi, who was once booked for sedition over his sketches allegedly defiling the Constitution and the country&rsquo;s emblems, criticised Congress members&rsquo; action. u00a0&ldquo;Democracy is for and of the people and if somebody is getting involved in the political system he should be welcomed rather than demotivated. The restaurateur, while conducting his business, was taking part in the larger discourse and merely passing on public sentiment. But Congressmen, just to get pats from their bosses and be splashed in newspaper pages, shut the eatery,&rdquo; said Trivedi.u00a0
