Lithium in its elemental state is highly <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium">flammable</a>, says Wikipedia. But these batteries have a lot of positive aspects and Mitsubishi is actually working on a lithium battery <a href="http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/telecom/22651/mitsubishi-pushes-lithium-battery-car">car</a>.
